Three Generations of Infrastructure Leadership
DPACO's journey began with Late Annasaheb Patil, an entrepreneur, consultant, and industrialist who contributed to Maharashtra's agricultural processing sector during the 1960s and 1970s.
His work supported the growth of textile and sugar processing industries and strengthened the state's emerging cooperative movement. His vision established the values that continue to guide DPACO today — integrity, technical excellence, and development through infrastructure.
The next chapter was led by Er. Deepak Annasaheb Patil, a B.Tech. Agricultural Engineer from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. He began his professional career with the Irrigation Department, Government of Maharashtra, contributing to major irrigation projects including Baramati, Ujani–Pandharpur, and Manjara.
In the 1980s, he established an independent engineering consultancy dedicated to project management and infrastructure development. Over the following decades, DPACO expanded across irrigation, water supply, drainage systems, sugar industries, industrial infrastructure, lift irrigation schemes, water treatment, sewage treatment, effluent treatment plants, and civil engineering projects.
The organisation also contributed to policy initiatives that promoted water-efficient agriculture, including proposals supporting government subsidy programmes for drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, and submersible pump technologies.
DPACO later expanded into Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Third Party Quality Auditing (TPQA), urban infrastructure, MHADA projects, Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) projects, AMRUT water infrastructure, and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) assignments with government agencies including MSRTC.
In 2015, Kuldeep Patil joined DPACO to lead the organisation's strategic expansion into emerging infrastructure sectors. Under his leadership, DPACO has broadened its capabilities in Public-Private Partnerships, Transaction Advisory, Redevelopment, Self Redevelopment, Tourism Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Digital Project Delivery, Asset Monetisation, Sustainable Development, and integrated project advisory.
The organisation continues to evolve by combining traditional engineering expertise with modern project management, financial structuring, digital technologies, and multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver infrastructure that is technically robust, financially viable, and socially impactful.
